Canyon AF80BK00 is an 80 durometer black AFLAS® (TFE/P) elastomer developed for O-rings and gaskets requiring superior strength and chemical resistance in extreme service environments. With excellent resistance to amines, acids, bases, and high-pressure steam, this material is ideal for demanding applications such as steam-in-place (SIP) systems, chemical processing, and oilfield operations. Its higher hardness provides excellent extrusion resistance, dimensional stability, and long-term sealing integrity in both static and dynamic conditions.

 

AF80BK00 operates effectively from -10°C to 232°C (15°F to 450°F), maintaining flexibility, compression set resistance, and mechanical strength under thermal and chemical stress. The compound also withstands up to 200 MRad of gamma radiation, supporting use in sterilization and high-purity systems. This cost-effective AFLAS® formulation offers reliable performance and durability across a wide range of industrial, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical sealing applications.
