Canyon’s PT60BK20 is a 60 Shore D black PTFE compound filled with 15% graphite, engineered for enhanced wear resistance and superior dynamic sealing performance. This material combines the chemical inertness of virgin PTFE with the lubricity and strength of graphite, resulting in reduced friction, lower wear rates, and improved dimensional stability under load. With a service temperature range of -268°C to 290°C (-450°F to 554°F), PT60BK20 maintains exceptional thermal and chemical resistance in extreme operating environments. Its low gas permeability and self-lubricating properties make it ideal for high-performance dynamic and static seals.

PT60BK20 is recommended for use in high-pressure backup rings, spring-energized seals, and components used in semiconductor, aerospace, and chemical processing industries. It performs reliably in contact with aggressive media such as MEK, DMF, acetone, and other harsh solvents. This 15% graphite-filled PTFE formulation delivers outstanding stability, low friction, and extended service life for demanding sealing and bearing applications. Canyon Components also offers equivalent filled PTFE compounds tailored for specific wear, load, and chemical resistance requirements.
