VT90BR00 is a 90 shore A brown FKM Type A compound designed as a high hardness, cost-effective sealing solution for demanding applications. This material provides excellent resistance to heat, fuels, oils, and a wide range of industrial chemicals, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in high pressure systems and tight tolerance environments. Its elevated durometer enhances extrusion resistance and mechanical stability under load, while also offering strong durability against ozone, weathering, and aging. With a service temperature range of -26°C to 225°C, VT90BR00 meets ASTM D2000 M2HK910 requirements and can be compared to Parker compounds such as V0709-90 and VA153-90 when evaluating equivalent FKM materials.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is essential. Type A FKM materials are general purpose grades that provide a strong balance of chemical resistance, thermal stability, and cost efficiency. Higher durometer variants like 90A are commonly selected for applications requiring improved extrusion resistance and mechanical strength under pressure. While highly versatile, FKM materials are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents, making proper material selection important for long-term sealing success.
