Canyon’s AF90BK01 is a 90 Shore A black AFLAS® (TFE/P) compound engineered for anti-explosive decompression (AED) performance in high-pressure, chemically aggressive environments. Tested to NACE TM0187 and NORSOK M710, it delivers reliable sealing integrity in sour gas and rapid gas decompression conditions where conventional elastomers are prone to damage. With a service temperature range of -10°C to 232°C (15°F to 450°F), AF90BK01 maintains low compression set, high tensile strength, and dimensional stability under prolonged thermal, pressure, and chemical exposure. Its excellent resistance to steam up to 200°C, amines, acids, and bases makes it well suited for demanding oil and gas, energy, and industrial process applications.

 

AF90BK01 performs reliably in both static and dynamic high-pressure sealing conditions, with a higher durometer that improves extrusion resistance and long-term durability. The compound’s resistance to gamma radiation up to 200 MRad further supports use in sterilization, nuclear, and high-purity environments. This AFLAS® formulation provides a robust solution for critical sealing systems requiring proven AED capability, chemical resistance, and thermal endurance.
