Canyon BT70BK01 is a 70 durometer black FDA-compliant Butyl (IIR) elastomer designed for sanitary O-rings and gaskets used in food and beverage processing. Comparable to Parker compounds B0318-70 and B0612-70, this material combines low gas permeability with excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and ozone. Its smooth, non-reactive surface supports hygienic sealing performance in equipment exposed to moisture, cleaning agents, and low vacuum or pressure conditions. With a service temperature range of -76°F to 250°F (-60°C to 121°C), BT70BK01 maintains flexibility and low compression set in demanding environments.

BT70BK01 meets FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and ASTM D2000 4AA715 specifications, ensuring consistent performance and compliance for food-grade applications. This cost-effective Butyl compound provides reliable sealing and environmental resistance for dairy, beverage, and general food processing systems. Its excellent impermeability makes it ideal for maintaining sanitary and airtight seals over extended service life.
