The Parker C1276-70 Neoprene (Chloroprene, CR) compound is a 70 durometer black elastomer formulated for O-rings and gaskets requiring long-term stability and a low compression set. Known as a "Super Neoprene", it offers enhanced durability and a wider service temperature range compared to standard Neoprene compounds. It provides reliable sealing performance in applications exposed to carbon dioxide, ammonia, refrigerants, silicone oils, greases, and water-based solutions at lower temperatures. With excellent weathering and ozone resistance, C1276-70 maintains elasticity and sealing integrity across a broad range of industrial and refrigeration systems.
Operating between -35°F and 250°F, C1276-70 delivers consistent performance in both dynamic and static applications. It is not recommended for aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, or highly polar solvents such as ketones and esters. This improved Neoprene formulation offers a strong balance of flexibility, chemical resistance, and thermal stability for general-purpose sealing environments.
