ORing cut reference

Canyon’s EP90BK41 is a 90 Shore A black EPDM compound engineered for extreme high-temperature steam service and anti-explosive decompression (AED) performance. Formulated with L’Garde Y267 technology, it delivers reliable sealing in water and steam applications up to 290°C (554°F), with short steam excursions reaching 315°C (600°F). The compound provides strong resistance to polar fluids, weathering, and abrasion, along with proven AED capability tested to NACE TM0297 for pressure-cycling environments. EP90BK41 is not recommended for hydrocarbon fuels or oils, where EPDM chemistry is unsuitable.

EP90BK41 is commonly used in geothermal, energy, and industrial systems exposed to extreme steam and pressure conditions, including valves, pumps, and high-temperature process equipment. Its high durometer supports extrusion resistance and dimensional stability under load while maintaining elasticity through severe thermal cycling. This material is frequently cross-referenced as an alternative to Parker E0962-90 for comparable extreme steam and AED EPDM sealing applications.
