Parker’s V1164-75 is a 75 Shore A black fluorocarbon (FKM) compound designed for applications requiring low compression set, high chemical resistance, and long-term durability. With a service temperature range of -15°F to 400°F, it delivers reliable sealing performance across a wide range of industrial environments. The compound exhibits excellent compatibility with mineral oils, IRM 901–903 test oils, nonflammable hydraulic fluids, silicone oils and greases, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. It also resists ozone, weathering, and oxidative degradation, ensuring consistent performance in demanding sealing conditions.
V1164-75 meets ASTM D2000 M6HK810 requirements and provides superior retention of physical properties after extended exposure to heat and pressure, making it ideal for static and dynamic sealing in high-temperature or chemically aggressive environments. However, it is not recommended for glycol-based brake fluids, amines, alkalis, superheated steam, or low molecular weight organic acids. Canyon Components offers equivalent FKM materials that match or exceed the performance of Parker V1164-75 for oil, fuel, and chemical sealing applications.
