This material is designed to meet NACE TM0297, NORSOK M-710, and ISO 23936-2 requirements, making it ideal for oil and gas applications such as downhole tools, valves, and high pressure sealing systems using O-rings and gaskets. It delivers excellent chemical resistance across hydrocarbons and aggressive media while maintaining sealing integrity in a service temperature range of -48°C to 225°C. VT90BK51 can be compared to Parker VG109-90 and other high performance AED-resistant FKM materials when evaluating equivalent compounds for demanding sealing applications.
FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, chemicals, and elevated temperatures is required.
