Calcium bisulfite is a white crystalline compound with the chemical formula Ca(HSO3)2. It is used in the pulp and paper industry for bleaching and in water treatment processes. Calcium bisulfite is relatively non-toxic but can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling and storage are essential to ensure safety.
