Diethyl benzene, also known as diethylbenzene or C10H14, is a colorless aromatic hydrocarbon liquid with a mild odor used as a solvent and as an intermediate in chemical manufacturing. Due to its solvent properties, compatibility with O-rings, rubber seals, gaskets, and plastic components should be carefully reviewed to prevent swelling or softening. Although generally considered relatively low in toxicity, exposure may cause skin and respiratory irritation. Proper storage, controlled handling, and the use of appropriate PPE are recommended.
