Continuous Molding
Continuous Molding O-rings is our preferred method for producing infinitely large O-rings. Using proprietary O-ring manufacturing methodologies, material is molded in a continuous arc, allowing us to supply seamless, tight tolerance O-rings in custom diameters without additional dedicated full-size mold costs.
For demanding applications, continuously molded large O-rings offer a higher-performance alternative to spliced seals. They are our preferred option among these manufacturing methods for dynamic O-ring applications and high pressure or vacuum O-ring applications, subject to application review.

Conventional O-rings have a round cross section. Square O-rings have a square cross section, while “flat O-rings” may refer to square rings, rectangular seals, or flat washer-style gaskets. These profiles are not automatically interchangeable. Provide a drawing or cross-sectional dimensions so our engineers can identify the seal you need.
Yes. In addition to large O-rings and giant seals, Canyon Components supports standard, metric, and micro O-ring requirements. Small O-rings and tiny O-rings require careful identification of the inside diameter, cross section, and material. Send us your dimensions or drawing for help finding a suitable option.
An O-ring store is a convenient starting point for standard sizes and listed materials. For custom large O-rings, unusual dimensions, or demanding operating conditions, request a quote so the size, O-ring material, and manufacturing method can be reviewed together. This is particularly useful for dynamic, high pressure, and vacuum applications.
A standard O-ring kit contains a selection of predetermined sizes and may not include the large O-rings your equipment requires. Cord-based repair kits can create custom loops, but a field-joined seal should not be assumed equivalent to a continuously molded or professionally vulcanized O-ring. For critical equipment, have the replacement seal and joining method reviewed for the application.
