Canyon’s AF70BK00 is a 70 Shore A black AFLAS® (TFE/P) compound designed as a reliable, cost-effective solution for high-temperature and steam-exposed sealing applications. It delivers excellent resistance to steam up to 200°C, along with strong chemical compatibility against amines, acids, and bases, making it especially well suited for steam-in-place (SIP) processes. With a service temperature range of -10°C to 232°C (15°F to 450°F), AF70BK00 maintains low compression set and mechanical stability under prolonged thermal and chemical stress. Its resistance to gamma radiation up to 200 MRad further supports use in sterilization, nuclear, and high-purity process environments.
AF70BK00 meets ASTM D2000 M2HK714 requirements and provides high tensile strength and elongation for dependable performance in both static and dynamic sealing conditions. This AFLAS® formulation is commonly used in chemical processing, pharmaceutical, energy, and industrial systems where conventional elastomers struggle with steam or alkaline exposure.
