Canyon AF85BK00 is an 85 durometer black AFLAS® (TFE/P) elastomer formulated for rugged O-rings and gaskets used in high-temperature and chemically aggressive environments. Offering exceptional resistance to amines, acids, bases, and high-pressure steam, it provides excellent performance in steam-in-place (SIP) systems, chemical processing, and oilfield sealing applications. The higher hardness enhances extrusion resistance and dimensional stability, making it ideal for both dynamic and static sealing under elevated pressure and temperature. Its low compression set and thermal stability ensure long-lasting sealing integrity in harsh operating conditions.
AF85BK00 operates effectively from -10°C to 232°C (15°F to 450°F) while maintaining elasticity and mechanical strength. The compound also withstands up to 200 MRad of gamma radiation, allowing use in sterilization and high-purity environments. As a durable and cost-effective AFLAS® material, AF85BK00 provides dependable performance for industrial, oil and gas, and power generation applications requiring superior resistance to chemicals and steam.
