Canyon’s FS40BU00 is a 40 Shore A blue Fluorosilicone compound engineered as a general-purpose, low-hardness sealing material for applications that require flexibility, fuel resistance, and environmental durability. Its soft durometer allows excellent conformability under low sealing loads while maintaining good compression set resistance and elastic recovery. With a service temperature range of -73°C to 177°C (-100°F to 350°F), FS40BU00 performs reliably in extreme cold as well as elevated temperatures, making it suitable for aerospace, automotive, and industrial environments. The fluorosilicone chemistry provides strong resistance to fuels, oils, and a wide range of chemicals while also offering excellent resistance to aging, weathering, and ultraviolet exposure.

FS40BU00 meets ASTM D2000 M2FK406 requirements and is commonly used in O-rings and gaskets where low-temperature flexibility and fuel compatibility are critical design factors. It is often selected for applications exposed to aviation fuels, automotive fuels, and oil mist where standard silicone materials are insufficient. This material is commonly cross-referenced as an alternative to Parker® LM151-50 and 11645 for comparable low-durometer fluorosilicone sealing applications. Canyon Components also offers additional fluorosilicone compounds in multiple durometers and colors to support specific performance and environmental requirements.
