Canyon’s FS50BU00 is a 50 Shore A blue Fluorosilicone compound engineered as a general-purpose, low-hardness sealing material for applications that demand flexibility, fuel resistance, and environmental durability. Its moderate durometer provides a balance between conformability and mechanical strength, delivering good compression set resistance and elastic recovery under low to moderate sealing loads. With a service temperature range of -73°C to 177°C (-100°F to 350°F), FS50BU00 performs reliably in extreme cold as well as elevated temperatures. The fluorosilicone chemistry offers excellent resistance to fuels, oils, and a broad range of chemicals, along with strong resistance to aging, weathering, and ultraviolet exposure.

FS50BU00 meets ASTM D2000 M2FK506 requirements and MIL-R-25988 Class I, Type II, making it suitable for aerospace, automotive, and industrial sealing applications where fuel compatibility and low-temperature flexibility are critical. It is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets in environments exposed to aviation fuels, automotive fuels, and oil-rich atmospheres where standard silicone materials are insufficient. This material is frequently cross-referenced as an alternative to Parker® LM151-50 and 11645 for comparable fluorosilicone sealing applications. Canyon Components also offers additional fluorosilicone compounds in multiple durometers and colors to support specific performance and compliance needs.
