Canyon’s FS80RE05 is an 80 Shore A red Fluorosilicone compound internally lubricated with PTFE and engineered for low-friction sealing applications. The PTFE internal lubrication reduces installation force and running friction while maintaining good compression set resistance and elastic recovery under load. With a service temperature range of -73°C to 177°C (-100°F to 350°F), FS80RE05 performs reliably in extreme cold and elevated temperature environments. Its fluorosilicone chemistry provides excellent resistance to fuels, oils, aging, weathering, and ultraviolet exposure, making it suitable for demanding aerospace, automotive, and industrial systems.
FS80RE05 meets ASTM D2000 M2FK806 requirements and is commonly used for O-rings and gaskets where smoother assembly, reduced stick-slip, and fuel compatibility are required. The internally lubricated design supports improved seal life in static and light dynamic applications compared to unfilled fluorosilicone grades. This material is frequently cross-referenced as an alternative to Parker® L1186-80 for comparable low-friction fluorosilicone sealing needs.
