Greene Tweed’s Chemraz® 510 is a 90 Shore A black perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) compound that offers exceptionally broad chemical resistance and excellent mechanical stability. With a service temperature range of -30°C to 230°C (-22°F to 446°F), it performs reliably in both low- and high-temperature sealing environments. Chemraz® 510 is well-suited for high-pressure applications, where its higher hardness and density help minimize extrusion and maintain dimensional stability. It resists degradation in a wide range of aggressive media including acids, caustics, aldehydes, esters, aromatics, hot water, steam, amines, methanol, ketones, TBA, and MTBE.
This compound is commonly used in mechanical seals, valves, pump housings, reactors, compressors, and sampling or metering equipment, as well as in mixers, instrumentation, sprayers, and couplings. Its broad chemical compatibility and low-temperature flexibility make it an excellent general-purpose sealing material for diverse industrial and process environments. Canyon Components offers equivalent FFKM materials that match or exceed the performance of Chemraz® 510 for use across a wide range of applications.
