Greene Tweed’s Chemraz® 555 is an 80 Shore A black perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) compound engineered for the most demanding high-temperature and chemically aggressive environments. With an exceptional service temperature range of -12°C to 316°C (10°F to 600°F), it delivers superior chemical resistance and thermal stability across a wide variety of process media. Chemraz® 555 is highly resistant to acids, caustics, aldehydes, esters, ethers, aromatics, hot water, steam, amines, methanol, ketones, TBA, MTBE, and mixed process streams. Its outstanding compression set performance and mechanical strength make it ideal for both static and dynamic sealing applications in extreme process conditions.
This compound is widely used in chemical processing, refining, and semiconductor SubFab systems where long-term reliability and contamination control are critical. Typical applications include valves, mechanical seals, reactors, compressors, ISO/NW/KF fittings, foreline seals, abatement systems, and instrumentation.
