Greene Tweed’s Chemraz® 555 is an 80 Shore A black perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) compound engineered for extreme high-temperature and chemically aggressive sealing environments. With a continuous service temperature range of -12°C to 316°C (10°F to 600°F), it delivers exceptional thermal stability and broad chemical resistance across harsh process media. Chemraz® 555 resists degradation from acids, caustics, aldehydes, esters, ethers, aromatics, hot water, steam, amines, methanol, ketones, TBA, MTBE, and mixed chemical streams. Its excellent compression set characteristics and strong mechanical properties support reliable sealing performance in both static and dynamic applications subjected to severe thermal and pressure cycling.
Chemraz® 555 is widely used in chemical processing, refining, and semiconductor SubFab environments where long-term reliability, contamination control, and material standardization are critical. Typical applications include valves, mechanical seals, reactors, compressors, ISO/NW/KF fittings, foreline seals, abatement systems, and instrumentation. This FFKM formulation enables extended service life and reduced maintenance by maintaining sealing integrity under extreme operating conditions.
