NB60BK00 is a 60 shore A black NBR compound designed as a cost-effective, general purpose sealing material for a wide range of industrial applications. Its lower durometer provides good conformability, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in low pressure systems or applications requiring improved surface contact. The material offers good abrasion resistance, low compression set, and reliable performance in contact with petroleum-based oils and fuels. With a service temperature range of -35°C to 122°C, NB60BK00 meets ASTM D2000 M2CH614 requirements and can be compared to Parker compounds such as N0525-60, N1470-70, and NA151-70 when evaluating equivalent nitrile materials.

NBR, commonly referred to as nitrile rubber, is one of the most widely used elastomers for O-rings and gaskets due to its strong resistance to oils, fuels, and many hydraulic fluids. These materials provide a balanced combination of performance and cost effectiveness, making them a popular choice for automotive, industrial, and fluid handling applications. Lower durometer NBR compounds like 60A are often selected for improved flexibility and sealing in static conditions. While highly versatile, NBR materials are generally not recommended for ozone exposure, extreme temperatures, or certain aggressive chemicals, making proper material selection important.
