NE40BK23 is Canyon’s low-temperature, 40 Shore A black Neoprene (CR) compound engineered for O-rings and gaskets that require enhanced flexibility in cold environments while maintaining balanced mechanical performance. This material improves low-temperature resistance compared to standard Neoprene grades, while still offering good resistance to weathering, moderate heat, and low-temperature solvents and refrigerants. With a service temperature range of -46°C to 125°C (-51°F to 257°F), NE40BK23 maintains elasticity through temperature cycling and supports reliable sealing in static and light dynamic applications. Its low durometer helps accommodate surface irregularities and reduces installation stress in tight or sensitive assemblies.
