NE70BK53 is Canyon’s AMS-R-6855 compliant, low-temperature 70 Shore A black Neoprene (CR) compound engineered for O-rings and gaskets that must maintain flexibility and sealing force in extreme cold environments. This material offers excellent low-temperature performance and superior compression set resistance while retaining good resistance to weathering, moderate heat, and low-temperature solvents and refrigerants. With a service temperature range extending down to -61°C (-78°F), NE70BK53 is well suited for aerospace, military, HVAC, and industrial applications exposed to severe cold and thermal cycling. Its balanced durometer supports reliable static and light dynamic sealing without excessive stiffness or installation risk.
