Canyon’s PT60BK20 is a 60 Shore D black PTFE compound filled with 15% graphite, engineered for enhanced wear resistance and superior dynamic sealing performance. By combining the chemical inertness of PTFE with the lubricity and strength of graphite, this material delivers reduced friction, lower wear rates, and improved dimensional stability under load. With a service temperature range of -268°C to 290°C (-450°F to 554°F), PT60BK20 maintains exceptional thermal and chemical resistance in extreme operating environments. Its low gas permeability and self-lubricating characteristics make it well suited for demanding static and dynamic sealing conditions.

 

PT60BK20 is commonly used in high-pressure backup rings, spring-energized seals, and precision components for semiconductor, aerospace, and chemical processing applications. It performs reliably in contact with aggressive media such as MEK, DMF, acetone, and other harsh solvents. This 15% graphite-filled PTFE formulation provides long service life, stable performance, and low friction for critical sealing and bearing applications.
