SI60OR20 is a 60 shore A orange silicone (VMQ) compound engineered for extreme low temperature sealing where flexibility and resilience are critical. This material maintains reliable performance down to -80°C, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in cryogenic, aerospace, and cold environment industrial applications. Its lower durometer improves conformability in low pressure systems while still providing good resistance to ozone, detergents, salt water, and vegetable and animal oils. With a service temperature range up to 205°C, SI60OR20 meets ASTM D2000 M2GE605 requirements and delivers dependable sealing performance across a wide thermal range.

Silicone rubber, commonly referred to as VMQ, is widely used in O-rings and gaskets due to its exceptional temperature flexibility and resistance to environmental degradation. Low temperature silicone grades are specifically formulated to remain elastic in extreme cold conditions where most elastomers become brittle and fail. These materials are commonly used in aerospace, outdoor equipment, and industrial systems where thermal cycling and cold weather performance are essential. While highly versatile, silicone compounds are generally not recommended for use with petroleum fuels or certain aggressive chemicals, making proper material selection important.
