SI65BU57 is a 65 shore A blue conductive silicone compound from CanGuard formulated with silver plated aluminum filler for high performance EMI and RFI shielding. This material meets MIL-DTL-83528 Type B QPL requirements and is well suited for O-rings and gaskets used in aerospace, military, and electronic enclosure applications where electromagnetic interference control is critical. It offers excellent shielding effectiveness along with resistance to salt air environments, making it ideal for harsh operating conditions. With a service temperature range of -55°C to 160°C, SI65BU57 delivers reliable sealing and electrical performance, though it has lower abrasion resistance and is not recommended for brake fluid or NBC washdown systems.

 

Conductive silicone (VMQ) materials are specialized elastomers designed to provide both environmental sealing and electrical conductivity in O-rings and gaskets. By incorporating conductive fillers such as silver plated aluminum, these materials enable effective EMI and RFI shielding while maintaining the flexibility and temperature resistance of silicone rubber.
