SI65GD18 is a 65 shore A dark gray conductive silicone compound from CanGuard that incorporates nickel-plated graphite for high performance EMI and RFI shielding. This material delivers excellent electrical conductivity with shielding effectiveness up to 100 dB at 10 GHz, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in electronic enclosures, aerospace systems, and military applications. It maintains flexibility and sealing integrity across a service temperature range of -55°C to 150°C, while offering a balance of durability and cost effectiveness. SI65GD18 is well suited for applications where both environmental sealing and electromagnetic protection are required, though its abrasion resistance is lower than standard elastomers.

 

Conductive silicone (VMQ) materials are specialized elastomers designed to provide both sealing and electrical performance in O-rings and gaskets.
