SI80TR00 is a translucent silicone (VMQ) compound with a nominal 80 shore A hardness, designed for general purpose sealing in a wide range of industrial environments. This material provides reliable performance in O-rings and gaskets exposed to ozone, detergents, salt water, and vegetable and animal oils, while maintaining flexibility across a broad temperature range of -60°C to 205°C. Its translucent appearance supports visual inspection and cleanliness requirements, making it suitable for applications where part identification and contamination control are important. SI80TR00 meets ASTM D2000 MGE706 requirements and can be compared to Parker S1138-70 when evaluating equivalent silicone sealing materials.

 

Silicone rubber, commonly referred to as VMQ, is widely used in O-rings and gaskets due to its excellent temperature range and resistance to environmental degradation. These materials maintain elasticity in both extreme cold and heat, making them ideal for applications involving thermal cycling and outdoor exposure. Silicone compounds are commonly used in industrial, food processing, and general sealing applications where ozone resistance and long service life are required.
