TM00TR00 is an FEP-encapsulated steel spring seal designed for extreme low temperature and chemically aggressive environments where traditional elastomers cannot perform. This seal combines an FEP Teflon outer shell for excellent chemical resistance with a steel spring core that provides consistent sealing force, making it ideal for O-rings and gasket-style sealing in cryogenic, aerospace, and chemical processing applications. The spring energization compensates for thermal expansion and contraction, maintaining a tight seal even at temperatures as low as -251°C. With compliance to FDA 21 CFR 177.1550, USP Class VI, and 3A 20-17, TM00TR00 offers reliable performance in both high purity and extreme temperature conditions.

FEP encapsulated spring-energized seals are engineered alternatives to elastomer O-rings and gaskets, combining the chemical inertness of fluoropolymers with the mechanical resilience of metal springs. The FEP outer layer provides broad chemical compatibility and low friction, while the internal steel spring ensures consistent sealing force across wide temperature ranges. These seals are commonly used in cryogenics, semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceutical processing, and aerospace systems where extreme temperatures and aggressive chemicals are present. While highly effective, they are typically used in static or low dynamic applications due to their specialized construction and design.
