VT75BK10 is a 75 shore A black FKM Type B compound designed as a reliable, general purpose sealing material for O-rings and gaskets in chemically aggressive and elevated temperature environments. This material provides excellent resistance to fuels, oils, and a wide range of industrial chemicals, along with strong stability under heat and long-term exposure to weathering and aging. With a service temperature range of -24°C to 225°C, it is well suited for applications in automotive, oil and gas, and industrial equipment where consistent sealing performance is required. VT75BK10 meets ASTM D2000 M2HK710 requirements and can be compared to Parker FKM Type B materials when evaluating equivalent compounds.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where chemical resistance and thermal stability are critical. Type B FKM materials offer improved resistance to fuels and certain aggressive chemicals compared to Type A, while maintaining good compression set resistance and durability. These materials are commonly used in fuel systems, chemical processing, and high temperature sealing applications where long service life is essential. While highly versatile, FKM compounds are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents, making proper material selection important for optimal performance.
