VT75BK40 is a 75 shore A black FKM Type GFLT compound engineered for applications requiring enhanced chemical resistance along with improved low temperature flexibility. This material is well suited for O-rings and gaskets exposed to aggressive media such as steam, acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons, while still maintaining strong performance in fuels and oils. It provides excellent high temperature stability and resistance to weathering and aging, making it ideal for demanding industrial, oil and gas, and chemical processing environments. With a service temperature range of -37°C to 225°C, VT75BK40 meets ASTM D2000 M7HK710 requirements and can be compared to Parker V1163-75 when evaluating equivalent GFLT-type FKM materials.
FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to heat, chemicals, and fuels is essential. GFLT-type FKM compounds are advanced formulations designed to extend both low temperature performance and chemical compatibility beyond standard and GLT grades.
