VT80BK30 is an 80 shore A black FKM Type GLT compound engineered for applications that require both improved low temperature flexibility and higher hardness for extrusion resistance. This material delivers excellent resistance to fuels, oils, and aggressive chemicals, along with strong durability against ozone, weathering, and aging, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in automotive, aerospace, and industrial systems. Its higher durometer enhances sealing performance in higher pressure environments while maintaining functionality across a service temperature range of -40°C to 225°C. VT80BK30 meets ASTM D2000 M2HK810 requirements and can be compared to Parker compounds such as V0835-75, VM125-75, and VM835-75 when evaluating equivalent low temperature FKM materials.
FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to heat, fuels, and aggressive chemicals is essential. GLT-type FKM materials are specifically formulated to extend low temperature performance beyond standard grades while maintaining strong high temperature stability and compression set resistance.
