VT80BR00 is an 80 shore A brown FKM Type A compound designed as a durable, cost-effective sealing solution for general purpose applications. Its higher durometer improves extrusion resistance and mechanical strength, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in higher pressure systems and tighter tolerance grooves. The material provides excellent resistance to heat, fuels, oils, and a wide range of industrial chemicals, along with strong durability against ozone, weathering, and aging. With a service temperature range of -26°C to 225°C, VT80BR00 meets ASTM D2000 M6HK810 requirements and can be compared to Parker compounds such as V1164-75, V1476-75, and V1475-75 for equivalent performance.

 

FKM, commonly referred to as Viton®, is a high performance fluoroelastomer widely used in O-rings and gaskets where resistance to fuels, oils, and elevated temperatures is essential. Type A FKM materials are general purpose grades that provide a strong balance of chemical resistance, thermal stability, and cost efficiency. Higher durometer variants like 80A are often selected for applications requiring improved resistance to extrusion and deformation under pressure. While highly versatile, FKM materials are generally not recommended for hot water, steam, or certain polar solvents, making proper material selection important for long-term sealing success.
