Permeation and Outgassing in Seals

Spring-energized seals use a metal spring inside a PTFE or PEEK jacket to maintain consistent sealing pressure across temperature and pressure changes. Commonly used in place of O-rings and gaskets for extreme environments, they provide excellent chemical resistance, low friction, and long service life in aerospace, cryogenic, and chemical processing applications.
