AF80BK02 Datasheet

Canyon’s AF80BK02 is an 80 Shore A black AFLAS® (TFE/P) compound formulated for FDA-compliant and sanitary sealing applications that require exceptional steam and chemical resistance. Designed for steam-in-place (SIP) service, it delivers reliable performance in continuous steam up to 200°C along with excellent resistance to amines, acids, and bases. With a service temperature range of -10°C to 235°C (15°F to 455°F), AF80BK02 maintains low compression set, strong tensile properties, and dimensional stability under prolonged thermal and chemical exposure. Its compliance with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and 3-A Sanitary standards makes it well suited for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and high-purity processing environments.

 

AF80BK02 provides dependable performance in both static and dynamic sealing conditions and is commonly used in hygienic process equipment where conventional elastomers fail in steam or alkaline media. The compound’s resistance to gamma radiation up to 200 MRad further supports use in sterilization and high-purity applications. This AFLAS® formulation offers a balanced combination of regulatory compliance, durability, and long service life for critical sanitary sealing systems.
