B0612-70 Datasheet
Parker, B0612-70 Butyl, 70A, Black, Vacuum, Low Compression Set
Parker’s B0612-70 is a 70 Shore A black Butyl (IIR) compound engineered for sealing applications that demand excellent low-temperature flexibility, low permeability, and resistance to polar fluids. With a service temperature range of -75°F to 250°F, it performs reliably in hot water and steam environments while maintaining elasticity at very low temperatures. This compound is well suited for salt solutions, glycol-based brake fluids (DOT 3 and DOT 4), poly-glycol hydraulic fluids (HFC), phosphate-ester fluids (HFD-R), and a wide range of polar solvents including alcohols, ketones, and esters. Its strong resistance to ozone, aging, and weathering supports long service life in both static and vacuum sealing applications.
B0612-70 meets ASTM D2000 M4AA708 requirements and is commonly selected where gas impermeability, environmental resistance, and brake fluid compatibility are critical. It is not recommended for use with mineral oils, greases, fuels, or chlorinated hydrocarbons. Canyon Components offers equivalent Butyl (IIR) materials that match or exceed the performance of Parker B0612-70 for steam, brake fluid, and low-temperature sealing applications.
