Canyon BT70BK00 is a 70 durometer black Butyl (IIR) elastomer designed for O-rings and gaskets where low gas permeability and long-term sealing reliability are critical. Comparable to Parker compounds B0318-70 and B0612-70, this material provides exceptional impermeability to gases, making it ideal for both pressurized and vacuum sealing applications. It performs well in environments exposed to acids, alkalis, and ozone while maintaining flexibility and resilience across a broad service range from -76°F to 250°F (-60°C to 121°C). Its low compression set ensures lasting performance in static sealing conditions.

 

BT70BK00 meets ASTM D2000 M2AA706 requirements, offering a cost-effective balance of chemical resistance, thermal stability, and environmental durability. This Butyl compound is especially suitable for industrial, laboratory, and high-vacuum systems requiring strong sealing performance without the use of expensive specialty elastomers.
