BT90BK00 Datasheet
BT90BK00, BUTYL, Black, 90A
Canyon’s BT90BK00 is a 90 Shore A black Butyl (IIR) compound engineered for applications that demand very low gas permeability and high durometer strength. It delivers excellent impermeability to gases, making it especially effective for pressurized systems and vacuum sealing where leakage control is critical. With a service temperature range of -60°C to 121°C (-76°F to 250°F), BT90BK00 maintains good low-temperature flexibility while offering reliable resistance to acids, alkalis, ozone, and environmental aging. The higher hardness improves extrusion resistance and dimensional stability in static sealing applications subjected to pressure.
BT90BK00 meets ASTM D2000 M2AA907 requirements and is commonly used in industrial equipment, vacuum systems, and fluid handling applications where airtight sealing and durability are required without exposure to oils or fuels. This cost-effective Butyl formulation provides a practical solution for high-durometer sealing needs. Canyon Components offers equivalent Butyl materials tailored for different hardness levels, permeability requirements, and compliance needs. Compare to other popular brands of Butyl materials such as Parker B0318-70 and B0612-70.
