Canyon’s EP50BK00 is a 50 Shore A black EPDM compound that is peroxide cured for improved thermal stability, aging resistance, and long-term sealing performance. Designed as a cost-effective, general-purpose material, it offers excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, and environmental exposure while maintaining good heat and abrasion resistance. With a service temperature range of -57°C to 150°C (-70°F to 300°F), EP50BK00 remains flexible at low temperatures and stable under moderate heat. Its low compression set and high elongation make it well suited for static and light dynamic sealing applications where softness and conformability are important.

EP50BK00 meets ASTM D2000 2DA510 requirements and provides consistent mechanical performance for industrial, HVAC, water handling, and general equipment sealing applications. This EPDM formulation is commonly selected where durability, affordability, and environmental resistance are required without exposure to petroleum-based oils or fuels.
