EP50BK01 Datasheet

Canyon’s EP50BK01 is a 50 Shore A black EPDM compound that is sulfur cured and designed as a flexible, cost-effective sealing material for general-purpose applications. Its moderate durometer provides a balance of conformability and mechanical strength, making it suitable for seals that must accommodate surface irregularities while maintaining good abrasion resistance and low compression set. With a service temperature range of -55°C to 130°C (-67°F to 266°F), EP50BK01 performs reliably in outdoor and industrial environments where resistance to weathering, ozone, and heat is required. The compound’s high elongation and stable tensile properties support dependable performance in static and light dynamic sealing conditions.

 

EP50BK01 meets ASTM D2000 M2BA510 requirements and is commonly used in industrial equipment, enclosures, and general sealing applications where affordability and durability are key selection factors. It is often selected as a soft-to-medium EPDM option for vibration isolation and low clamp-load sealing scenarios. This material is commonly cross-referenced as an alternative to Parker E1100-50 for similar EPDM sealing applications.
