Greene Tweed’s Chemraz® 584 is a 70 Shore A white perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) compound engineered for biotechnology, analytical instrumentation, and medical device sealing applications where purity and chemical durability are critical. It provides excellent resistance to strong oxidizing agents, hot aqueous solutions, and repeated steam sterilization, making it suitable for both static and dynamic sealing environments. With a service temperature range of -30°C to 220°C (-22°F to 428°F), Chemraz® 584 maintains elasticity, tensile strength, and sealing integrity under continuous thermal and chemical exposure. Its specialized filler system enhances chemical compatibility and supports long-term performance in high-purity fluid-handling systems.

 

Chemraz® 584 is commonly used in solenoid valves, diaphragms, analytical instruments, and well plate gaskets where cleanliness, reliability, and sterilization resistance are required. The compound withstands autoclaving and SIP cycles without degradation, supporting consistent operation in life sciences and medical environments. This FFKM formulation combines high purity, robust chemical resistance, and dependable mechanical performance for critical applications.
