HN70BK15 Datasheet
HN70BK15, HNBR, Black, LT, 70A
HN70BK15 is a 70 shore A black HNBR compound formulated for improved low temperature performance and enhanced durability compared to standard nitrile materials. This hydrogenated nitrile offers good abrasion resistance, low compression set, and reliable sealing performance across a service temperature range of -50°C to 165°C. It is well suited for O-rings and gaskets used in automotive, oil and gas, and industrial applications where both cold temperature flexibility and resistance to oils and fuels are required. HN70BK15 meets ASTM D2000 5BG720 requirements and can be compared to Parker KA158-70 and N0103-70 when evaluating equivalent low temperature HNBR materials.
HNBR, or hydrogenated nitrile rubber, is an advanced version of NBR that provides improved heat resistance, mechanical strength, and aging performance. These materials are widely used in O-rings and gaskets where exposure to oils, fuels, and moderate temperatures is common, while also offering better low temperature flexibility than many standard elastomers. HNBR compounds are commonly used in automotive systems, oil and gas equipment, and industrial machinery where a balance of performance and cost effectiveness is required. While more robust than standard NBR, they may still have limitations with strong acids or certain aggressive chemicals, making proper material selection important.
