KA174-75 Datasheet

Parker’s KA174-75 is a 75 Shore A black HNBR compound engineered for sealing applications that require improved heat resistance, oil compatibility, and durability compared to standard nitrile materials. With a service temperature range of approximately -25°F to 300°F, and short-term capability up to 325°F, it performs reliably in petroleum-based hydraulic oils, motor oils, transmission fluids, and greases. The hydrogenated nitrile formulation also provides compatibility with R134a refrigerant, water, glycol, steam, and HFA, HFB, and HFC hydraulic fluids, along with strong resistance to ozone, aging, and weathering. Its balanced mechanical properties support low compression set and stable sealing performance in both static and moderate dynamic applications.

 

KA174-75 is commonly used in automotive, industrial, and fluid power systems where exposure to oils, hydraulic fluids, and temperature cycling is expected. It is not recommended for polar solvents such as ketones and esters, strong acids, chlorinated hydrocarbons, or automotive and aircraft brake fluids. This HNBR compound offers a dependable solution for mixed oil and water-based environments requiring extended service life.
