NB50BK00 is Canyon’s standard 50 Shore A black nitrile rubber (NBR) compound designed as a cost-effective, general-purpose material for O-rings and gaskets used in oil-handling and industrial sealing applications. This compound provides good abrasion resistance and low compression set, helping maintain reliable sealing performance in static and light dynamic service. With a service temperature range of -35°C to 122°C (-31°F to 252°F), NB50BK00 performs well in contact with petroleum-based oils while offering improved flexibility compared to higher-durometer nitrile grades. Its balanced hardness supports good conformability to gland surfaces, reducing the risk of installation damage and leakage under low to moderate loads.
