NB60BK05 Datasheet

NB60BK05 is Canyon’s low-temperature, 60 Shore A black nitrile rubber (NBR) compound developed for cost-effective O-rings and gaskets used in cold-service sealing applications. This material offers improved low-temperature flexibility compared to standard NBR grades while maintaining good abrasion resistance and low compression set for reliable sealing performance. With a service temperature range down to -55°C (-67°F), NB60BK05 is well suited for industrial environments where seals must remain elastic and responsive during cold starts and temperature cycling. Its balanced durometer provides a combination of conformability and mechanical stability for static and light dynamic sealing conditions.

 

NB60BK05 meets ASTM D2000 M2BG610 requirements and is commonly used in pumps, valves, hydraulic components, and general industrial equipment exposed to petroleum-based oils and low-temperature conditions. This compound is selected when improved cold performance is required without the added cost of specialty elastomers.
