NB70RE04 is Canyon’s metal detectable, FDA compliant 70 Shore A red nitrile rubber (NBR) compound engineered for O-rings and gaskets used in food manufacturing and processing environments where foreign material detection is critical. This cost-effective material combines good abrasion resistance and low compression set with integrated metal detectability to support HACCP and quality control programs. With a service temperature range of -35°C to 122°C (-31°F to 252°F), NB70RE04 delivers reliable sealing performance in contact with petroleum-based oils and common process fluids while maintaining consistent elasticity. It meets ASTM D2000 requirements and complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, making it suitable for static and light dynamic sealing in regulated facilities.
