SI30OR00 Datasheet

SI30OR00 is a 30 shore A orange silicone (VMQ) compound designed as a general purpose sealing material for applications requiring high flexibility and conformability. Its low hardness allows it to easily adapt to sealing surfaces, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in low pressure systems or where minimal compression force is available. The material offers good resistance to ozone, detergents, salt water, and vegetable and animal oils, supporting reliable performance across a wide range of industrial environments. With a service temperature range of -60°C to 205°C, SI30OR00 meets ASTM D2000 M2GE303 requirements and provides a versatile solution for flexible sealing needs.

 

Silicone rubber, commonly referred to as VMQ, is widely used in O-rings and gaskets due to its broad temperature range and excellent resistance to environmental degradation. Low durometer silicone materials like 30A are especially useful in applications where soft sealing, vibration damping, or irregular surface contact is required. These materials maintain elasticity in both extreme cold and heat, making them suitable for industrial, food processing, and general sealing applications. While highly versatile, silicone compounds are generally not recommended for use with petroleum fuels or certain aggressive chemicals, making proper material selection important.
