SI30TR02 Datasheet

SI30TR02 is a 30 shore A translucent silicone (VMQ) compound that is FDA compliant to 21 CFR 177.2600, designed for soft, flexible sealing in food and general industrial applications. Its low durometer allows for excellent conformability, making it ideal for O-rings and gaskets used in low pressure systems or where delicate sealing surfaces require minimal compression force. The material provides good resistance to ozone, detergents, salt water, and vegetable and animal oils, while maintaining reliable performance across a service temperature range of -60°C to 205°C. SI30TR02 meets ASTM D2000 M2GE306 requirements and is well suited for applications requiring flexibility, clarity, and regulatory compliance.

 

Silicone rubber, commonly referred to as VMQ, is widely used in O-rings and gaskets due to its broad temperature range and excellent environmental resistance. Low durometer silicone materials like 30A are particularly effective in applications requiring high flexibility and gentle sealing force, especially in sanitary or sensitive environments. These materials are commonly used in food processing, medical, and industrial systems where FDA compliance and clean performance are required. While highly versatile, silicone compounds are generally not recommended for use with petroleum fuels or certain aggressive chemicals, making proper material selection important.
