Canyon’s SI40OR00 is a 40 Shore A orange silicone (VMQ) compound that is peroxide cured for enhanced thermal stability, cleanliness, and long-term performance. Its low durometer provides excellent flexibility and sealing conformity, making it well suited for applications requiring gentle sealing force and vibration absorption. With a service temperature range of -60°C to 205°C (-75°F to 400°F), SI40OR00 maintains elasticity across extreme temperature swings while offering good resistance to ozone, detergents, salt water, and both vegetable and animal oils. The material’s high elongation and balanced tensile strength support reliable performance in static and light dynamic sealing environments.

SI40OR00 meets ASTM D2000 M2GE405 requirements and is available in multiple colors, durometers, and custom shapes to support a wide range of industrial sealing needs. This silicone formulation is commonly used in general industrial equipment, environmental sealing, and applications where flexibility, temperature resistance, and chemical stability are required.
