Canyon Components SI60OR06 is an orange, translucent, platinum cured silicone rubber (VMQ) formulated for medical device, pharmaceutical, and sensitive industrial applications. This 60 Shore A silicone compound meets USP Class VI requirements and is FDA compliant to 21 CFR 177.2600, making it an option for silicone O-rings, medical device seals, pharmaceutical gaskets, and food contact rubber components. Its combination of platinum curing, flexibility, and documented physical properties supports demanding silicone sealing applications.
With a service temperature range of -55°C to 205°C (-67°F to 401°F), SI60OR06 supports applications requiring low temperature silicone seals and high temperature silicone gaskets. The compound delivers a reported tensile strength of 1,540 psi (10.6 MPa) and elongation of 650%, exceeding its specified minimum requirements for both properties. A hardness of 60 Shore A provides flexibility for silicone rubber seals, molded gaskets, and custom elastomer components.
